From the "are you serious?" file

Was reading the news online and came across a story about someone suing Jimmy John's for getting the wrong sandwich and consequently getting sick.

Pulled from the article...

Mackenzie Seiler got his Turkey Tom sandwich fast enough from Jimmy John's.

But the Chicago resident also got sick because the restaurant not only failed to hold the cheese and mayonnaise as he asked, it gave him tuna instead of turkey, according to a lawsuit he has filed in Cook County.
As a result, Seiler said he "became seriously ill and remained so for a long time." He wants more than $50,000 from Jimmy John's.

Seiler said he bought the sandwich back in November of 2007 at a Jimmy John's in Champaign. Due to allergies, Seiler said he ordered the Turkey Tom with no cheese and mayonnaise. Instead, he got "a tuna sandwich with cheese and mayonnaise."

The lawsuit, filed Thursday, accused the restaurant chain of negligence. There was no immediate comment from Jimmy John's.

And so I wonder he just ate it anyway? I like Jimmy John's I've eaten there numerous times. Each and every time (and anywhere else I eat for that matter) I uhh... I look at what I'm eating. Don't you? And tell me this... how do you not notice that the sandwich you have in your hand is tuna and not turkey?

Sorry... I'm watching Price Is Right as I write this and I think that I've just seen the two dumbest people in the showcase showdown. I thought it was just one when she put in a bit of $4,200.00 for her showcase. She looks like Einstein compared to the second bidder. In his showcase there was a car and he bid $4,200.00 also. WTF??? She won being only $15,000 and change off... the guy with the car was almost $24,000 off.

Anyway, if this guy gets $50,000+ for HIS OWN STUPIDITY... I'm in the wrong business for sure.

Just feeling the need to comment...

Comment on something that perhaps no one will ever see, but wanted to say this just the same.

I saw online (on more than one page too) a story stating that there is no nutritional difference between organic and non-organic. See the catch is the word nutritional... I don't know about you, but I never once thought that by eating organic I was getting a greater concentration of nutrition/vitamins. I try to go organic anytime I can simply because it means it's been handled/processed less and in the case of produce hasn't been sprayed to death with chemicals.

Came across this some time ago... seems somewhat fitting.

Tick tock goes the clock...

Whoosh goes time.

... unless I'm sitting around the hospital, then it's somewhat less of a whoosh.

I came across an article whilst getting my news online... I rarely read the paper anymore. As often happens with me, an article has a link that I might click on and from there, it doesn't take me long before I am four or five (or more) clicks away from the first article.

At any event, I'm shocked and amazed that it's been ten years already that John Kennedy Jr. crashed... TEN years. Look, I know it wasn't like it was a few years ago, but I really was surprised to read that it was ten already. I mostly listen to my iPod now, but for as much as I listen to an actual radio (mostly while driving) I won't even go into the songs I hear on the oldies station.

A Ponderable

Saw the following in the Gullible info on our main page: Despite Billy Joel's claims, the good do not actually die young. According to U.S. Census data, on average, clergy members live about 11 years longer than those who have been convicted of at least one felony crime.

So I want to know then... what happens when a priest has been convicted?

As an old say goes

"My favorite teams in baseball are the White Sox and whom ever is playing the Cubs"

It's a bonus when the Sox win and the Cubs lose.

It's an even BIGGER bonus when the Sox win and the Cubs lose...

... at the hands of the Sox!
